Parent Thrive™ Methodology

Let's thrive!

As a parent, it can feel never-ending at times. As someone who may be neurodiverse with dyslexia, ADHD or even just some of the traits of these conditions, things like getting organised, keeping up your energy, and even getting out the door on time can feel like an impossible mission!

Managing these things can feel like an up-hill struggle. Even if you have found ways to manage previously, now you’re a parent - some of your old coping strategies may not work anymore.

Sometimes, we can feel like we’re just surviving, and we can think that family life isn’t quite the Walt Disney film we were sold.

And sometimes, it works! Things flow. We can have fun with our kids, everything comes together… And then you wake up the next day and feel as though you’re walking through treacle again.

How can it change so much? And how can you get that wonderful productivity you have on your good days all the time?

There's more...

Maybe you’ve already tried some things…

  • Tips from friends and family
  • Taken inspiration from people who look as though they have everything together
  • You’ve kept journals
  • You’ve made a gazillion lists
  • You’ve listened to those positivity tapes
  • You’ve tried to balance your day and scrape out a few moments for self-care

But even when you’ve pulled those techniques off they haven’t stuck and none of the benefits lasted.

That's why we created the Parent Thrive programme, to get you past surviving to thriving!

Is it for me?

The Parent Thrive Programmes is 6 weeks long and teaches you different ways of managing things in a safe community, all aimed at unique minds, neurodiverse folk and those struggling with the above.

This is what you get:

  • Personalised practical advice on how to organise better
  • Group sessions where you will be able to discuss concepts with your peers
  • Access to all the content that was discussed before (videos, Zoom calls and others)
  • And much more...

Since working with [Helen], I'm getting so much more done!

Are you ready to thrive?

Who am I?

I am a Clinical Director and nurse in the NHS - Trustee for a Not-for-Profit Parent-Led School Club and I develop affordable and accessible online wellbeing courses and coaching on Practical Wisdom. I am also a parent to an adopted child, and I have ADHD and Dyslexia.

Juggling work and my business meant learning different ways to manage my time, which has saved my sanity and allowed me ways to not just survive but thrive.

My mission is supporting other parents with similar challenges to feel more in control of their lives and thrive.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Have you always found organisation a challenge?
  • Is timekeeping hard?
  • Is transitioning from one thing to another tricky?
  • Does your energy fluctuate?
  • And, like me, are you a sensitive soul?
  • Have all of these things got harder since becoming a parent?

As someone with ADHD traits and dyslexia myself, once I became a parent I found all my old strategies for keeping my life under control became redundant. All the tips and tricks I had learned no longer worked!

In the past few years I've managed to reclaim my mojo and I want to help you do the same.

Perhaps your child has had a diagnosis and you're wondering if you also have ADHD or Dyslexia? It’s not uncommon for the whole family to be neurodivergent. And to make it even more fun they may not even all be the same type!

Maybe you ARE waiting on a diagnosis yourself but it's a long wait, and you don't want to deal with the overwhelm any longer.

Or maybe you have a diagnosis already and you know that now is the time to get on top of things.
